when you're waiting for the lay-off list to land under your office door, you begin to consider how great life would be without the obligation and stress of a nine-to-five, and how dismal life would be without that stuff that makes the world go 'round. and how temporary everything is...jobs, income, layoffs, office doors, stuff (maybe even stress--if i so choose).
p.s. i whole has passed. yes, i'm a bad blogger. i know. i don't deserve the title "blogger." don't hate me (if you're at all even reading this).

The waiting is agony. I too have been thinking about how transitory everything is. Here today, gone tomorrow has never been more fitting than now.
I sucks how most of us depend on our jobs for our livelihood, and yet the very thing we need can suck our souls right out of us.
On one hand, layoffs would be a reprieve, on another - it brings on a whole new set of problems.
I'm not sure if this was what you were getting at, but yeah...
btw you're totally not a bad blogger (good to see a new entry from you though!)

I'm still here too. I hope whatever happens, it will be a vast improvement in your life, even if you don't see it immediately from the beginning.
